Common questions
Is the debt book app free?
Yes. The ledger is free: unlimited customers, suppliers, debts and payments, PDF statements, and sharing any message from your own WhatsApp. You pay only if you want the app to send messages for you automatically: the first 300 are free, then 1–3¢ a message, in packs that never expire.
Does my customer need to install the app?
No. Your customer gets a normal WhatsApp message with the amount and their new balance, with nothing to install.
Which number do the messages come from?
Your own WhatsApp number, so your customer knows it's you.
How do I remind a customer about a debt on WhatsApp?
Pick the late customers on the reminders screen and send them all a reminder at once. No awkward phone call.
Can I send a customer their statement?
Yes. Every customer has a PDF statement for any period, with each debt and payment, its date and the balance after it. Send it on WhatsApp whenever there's a disagreement.
Can I track what I owe my suppliers?
Yes. The same book tracks what your customers owe you and what you owe your suppliers, with no limit on accounts.
Does it work on iPhone and Android? What if I lose my phone?
Yes, get it from the App Store or Google Play. Your book is backed up in the cloud: if you lose your phone, log in with your number and it comes back.
Which countries is it used in?
Shops across the Arab world use it, including Egypt, Iraq and Palestine.
